The maximum size of the grants is reduced pro rata temporis for projects of a shorter duration. (This does not apply to ongoing projects). The ERC 2021 Starting and Consolidator Grants and the Holiday season. In addition to the proximity of the Starting and Consolidator grant deadlines, there is another timeline issue to take into consideration. As already mentioned, the ERC Starting and Consolidator 2021 tentative deadlines are set for March and April, respectively. The ERC funding scheme is divided into 4 main calls: Starting, Consolidator, Advanced and Synergy.

The Grants and Innovation Office (FIK) offers a course on how to write a competitive ERC Starting Grant (ERC-2021-StG) or ERC Consolidator Grant (ERC-2021-CoG) research proposal. The deadlines for the calls are scheduled for March and mid-April, respectively.
